Storage & Process Tanks

Storage & Process Tank

Storage tanks which stores concentrated acid are used in production and further processing of aggressive media and need to meet different requirements.

Alloyplas is able to consult and assist with your design and build customised storage tanks to suit your exact process critical requirements – round cylindrical or rectangular tank.

We have the capability and experience to fabricate most of the thermoplastic available, especially the more popularly used Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CVPC), Polypropylene (PP) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).

With state of the art facilities and equipments in-house, Alloyplas is able to ensure the best quality to our customers where it matters:

CAD – Latest computer drawing system to draw out the detail required for the customised request

CNC – Computer aided routing machine capable of machining up to 2m x 4m size for precision cut out

Fusion – Computer aided butt fusion machine to ensure reliability and consistency of the tank

We build tanks from diameter of 0.5m to 3.0m and height of up to 4m. All Alloyplas fully plastic tanks are designed as per DVS 2205 standard and fabricated according to DVS 2207.

Dual-Laminate

Apart from fully plastic tanks, Alloyplas is also capable of making tanks in Dual Laminate type. Due to the weaker mechanical properties of thermoplastic, designing of large or higher temperature tanks can be very difficult and especially costly.

Dual Laminate construction combines the superior chemical resistance of thermoplastics with the greater mechanical strength and flexibility of fiberglass. The inner liner (thermoplastic) is thermoformed and welded and then the FRP is chemically or mechanically bonded to it.

With Dual Laminate, this allow us to provide a wider and better range of chemical resistance compatibility. Alloyplas have the capability and experience to fabricate Dual Laminated tanks with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CVPC), Polypropylene (PP), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Ethylene ChloroTriFluoroEthylene (ECTFE).

All of Alloyplas Dual Laminate tanks are fabricated according to DVS 2207 for the inner liner while the outer structural reinforcement of FRP is designed and built to BS4994-87 and ASTM D3299.

Dual Laminate Pipe

Dual Laminate construction combines the superior chemical resistance of thermoplastics (Corrosion Barrier) with the greater mechanical strength and flexibility of FRP (Outer Structure).

This system allows a reliable and effective combination of the dissimilarities of each individual material and also enhances the performance of each component while minimising the individual weakness. This ensures a longer and more reliable working life span for more aggressive chemical and environment applications.
